NPP PROs blocking pro-NDC Media houses from attending Govt. events

Image
There is growing concern over deliberate sabotage across key government institutions, where public relations officers (PROs) appointed under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration are allegedly restricting access to pro-NDC media outlets. Despite the transition of power, these officials remain in strategic positions and continue to manipulate government communication to favor the opposition. The latest incident occurred during a press conference at the Ministry of Finance announcing Ghana’s signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its Official Creditor Committee (OCC)—a major step in the country’s debt restructuring process. However, pro-NDC media houses, especially newspapers, were not invited, while all pro-NPP newspapers were given full access. A PRO at the Ministry, still holding office from the previous administration, reportedly told journalists from pro-NDC media houses that they were not invited and questioned why they had come to the press conference. This med...

Addressing a press conference in Accra, the Dzase described the installation of Kelvin Tackie as a violation of customary practices and the Chieftaincy Act 2008 (Act 759). They maintain that Boni King Tackie Adama Latse II remains the legitimate and gazetted Ga Mantse, having been enstooled in 2011 and inducted into the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs in 2017. The Dzase alleges that Kelvin Tackie was disqualified during vetting by the elders of Abola Piam We and had even signed an undertaking to abide by the Dzase’s final decision. However, in October 2017, Kelvin Tackie was allegedly installed with the involvement of government officials, including Hon. Nii Adjiri Blankso...

They revealed that a legal process known as an interpleader has been filed to halt all demolition and land-guard activities in the area. The court has served Theophilus Teiko Tagoe and ordered him to cease any further activities on the disputed land, resulting in the current calm in the neighborhood.
