The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP) has introduced an emergency cash transfer initiative, the "Dry Spell Emergency Cash Transfer," to support vulnerable households impacted by prolonged dry spells in eight key agricultural regions across Ghana. New Initiative Targets Mental Health on Streets

   By: Bernard Quanson Stakeholders consisting of the police, social welfare offices of district Assemblies, Assemblymen and women among others in collaboration with “A New beginning Rehabilitation Centre” a mentally Health Oriented NGO, to take Mentally challenged persons who roam about in public places to Psychiatric Hospitals as matter of urgency The C.E.O of the Organization, Mr. Osman Ahmed Okyere, disclosed this to Newsmen at a News Briefing in Accra recently. Mr. Ahmed Okyere said the Police are involved to professionally convey persons who are mentally challenged to Accra Psychiatric Hospital and Pantang Psychiatric Hospital for treatment. Dr. Apaak to burry father on January 31

The Apaak family has officially announced funeral arrangements for the late Pastor John Azundem Apaak, who will be laid to rest on Saturday, January 31, 2026. In a statement issued on behalf of the family and signed by Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, Member of Parliament for Builsa South and Deputy Minister for Education, the family informed friends, associates, and the general public of the burial plans for the respected clergyman and family patriarch. Pastor John Azundem Apaak, aged 81, passed away on November 4, 2025, after a lifetime marked by unwavering faith, humility, and service to humanity.
