Prof. Opoku-Agyemang Begins Oti Region Campaign Tour

The vice-presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has commenced a two-day tour of the Oti Region to rally support for the party’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, and its parliamentary candidates.

Starting her tour on Thursday, November 28, 2024, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is set to engage voters across key constituencies in the region. She will address rallies and town hall meetings in communities such as Likpe-Mate in the Guan Constituency, New Ayoma in the Buem Constituency, Abotoase in the Biakoye Constituency, and Kparekpare in the Krachi East Constituency.

During her engagements, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang will emphasize the NDC’s flagship policies as outlined in their Resetting Ghana manifesto. These include initiatives to financially empower women, create sustainable jobs for the youth, and improve access to quality education nationwide.

The Oti Region tour forms part of the NDC’s broader strategy to solidify its support base in the lead-up to the December 7 general elections. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is expected to conclude her tour on Friday, November 29, and return to Accra later that day.

This visit is the latest in a series of regional tours designed to connect with voters and present the NDC’s vision for Ghana’s future.
