Stratcomm Africa Leads in Environmental Communication
Strategic Communications Africa Ltd (Stratcomm Africa) has once again reinforced its leadership in sustainability communication, winning the Best in Environmental & Climate Change Communications award at the 2023/2024 IPR Ghana Excellence Awards. The honour was presented during the Institute of Public Relations Ghana’s National Summit and Annual General Meeting held in Takoradi from 13th to 15th November 2025.
The award recognises Stratcomm Africa’s outstanding use of strategic communication to advance environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and green innovation in Ghana. According to IPR Ghana, the agency has demonstrated an exceptional ability to mobilise diverse stakeholders through well-designed public relations campaigns that translate environmental education into meaningful action.
Expressing gratitude after receiving the award, Founder and CEO Esther A. N. Cobbah dedicated the achievement to all contributors to green advocacy across the country.
“We dedicate this award to every gardener, youth innovator, exhibitor, and community member who believes in the power of green action,” she said. “This recognition highlights the urgency of communication about environmental sustainability so that all stakeholders take responsibility and act to help save our Earth.”
A significant part of Stratcomm Africa’s award-winning portfolio is its flagship initiative, the Ghana Garden & Flower Movement (GGFM) and its signature event, the Ghana Garden and Flower Show (GGFS). These platforms have transformed environmental conservation into a vibrant community-driven effort, particularly among young people and emerging green entrepreneurs. The 2024 edition of GGFS, themed “GREENOVATION: Green the Nation, Feed the Nation, Grow the Nation,” attracted over 30,000 participants and more than 100 exhibitors. Hosted at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park, the event blended storytelling, theatre, youth engagement, and practical masterclasses to inspire climate action and promote sustainable living.
Stratcomm Africa’s latest recognition follows four global awards it received in October from the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) at the Golden World Awards. The company continues to champion environmental communication in Ghana and across the continent, using creative public relations strategies to promote sustainability and behaviour change.
