State Housing Offers 15% Discount to Clients
The State Housing Company Limited (SHC) has rolled out a nationwide Revenue Mobilization Campaign aimed at recovering outstanding payments from clients and strengthening its financial base to sustain affordable housing delivery across the country.
The campaign, launched on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the company’s head office in Accra, forms part of SHC’s renewed effort to enhance financial discipline and operational sustainability.
Addressing the media, Mr. John Sheriff Bawah, Managing Director of SHC, said the campaign seeks to remind clients of their financial obligations, which are essential for securing their tenancy and supporting the company’s ongoing housing projects. He was supported by Mr. Samuel Atukwei Quaye, Esq., the Deputy Managing Director.
Mr. Bawah announced that from November 3 to December 31, 2025, clients who settle all outstanding payments in full will receive a 15% discount as part of the company’s incentive package. The discount applies to ground rent, land regularization fees, lease renewals, consents, and service charges, but excludes house sales.
“This initiative is designed to ease the financial burden on our clients while promoting full compliance,” Mr. Bawah stated. “We urge clients from all regions—Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, and beyond—to take advantage of this limited-time offer before the deadline.”
For nearly seven decades, SHC has been a central pillar in Ghana’s housing sector, providing quality and affordable homes while building sustainable communities. However, management says outstanding client arrears—amounting to hundreds of millions of Ghana cedis— have become a major challenge, affecting the company’s ability to expand its operations and maintain existing facilities.
As part of efforts to improve customer convenience, SHC also revealed plans to establish a 24-hour Premium and Express Service Centre before the end of the year. The facility will provide fast and reliable services for payments, documentation, and client support, aligning with President John Dramani Mahama’s vision of a “Ghana that works round-the-clock.”
Mr. Bawah cautioned that after the campaign deadline, the company will strictly enforce penalties, interest, and legal actions to recover unpaid debts.
“We are giving every client an opportunity to clear their arrears peacefully,” he said. “After December 31, 2025, there will be no further extensions or waivers.”
He expressed appreciation to all clients and stakeholders for their cooperation, assuring them of SHC’s continued commitment to being Ghana’s most reliable and trusted housing developer.
“Every payment made supports our mission of delivering affordable housing, creating jobs, and contributing to Ghana’s broader housing agenda,” he added.
