Africa Prepares for Major Trade Summit
The African Trade Chamber will on 18th November 2025 officially launch the Africa Trade Summit 2026, a high-level continental gathering designed to accelerate industrialization, boost regional trade, and drive investment-led growth across Africa.
The launch event, scheduled to take place in Accra, marks the beginning of preparations toward the 2026 edition of the Summit, which is expected to become one of the most influential platforms for dialogue on trade, industrial development, and enterprise transformation on the continent. The Africa Trade Summit 2026 will be held from 28th to 30th January at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra. It will bring together government officials, private sector leaders, diplomats, development finance institutions, and industry associations to unveil the Summit’s agenda, thematic focus areas, and partnership framework.
The 2026 Summit will spotlight productive sectors considered critical to Africa’s structural transformation, including manufacturing, energy, mining, agro-processing, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and infrastructure. Organizers say these sectors remain essential to unlocking the continent’s industrial competitiveness, expanding intra-African trade, and deepening integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The African Trade Chamber, a private sector-led pan-African institution based in Accra, continues to position itself as a unifying voice for businesses across the continent. Through trade promotion, business cooperation, and investment facilitation, the Chamber aims to strengthen Africa’s industrial capacity and economic competitiveness while supporting the full implementation of AfCFTA.
With preparations now underway, the Africa Trade Summit 2026 is expected to set the tone for major strategic partnerships and policy commitments that will shape Africa’s next phase of industrial and economic transformation.
