Zoomlion Refutes Violence Allegation by Daily Guide
Zoomlion Ghana Limited has strongly refuted claims linking the company to the use of landguards, following a report in the Daily Guide newspaper alleging that “Zoomlion Landguards” had destroyed properties belonging to Turkish investors.
In a sharply worded rebuttal issued by its Communications Directorate, the company emphasized that it neither employs nor contracts the services of landguards, describing the allegations as “misleading and unjustifiable.”
“Zoomlion Ghana Limited does not employ, contract, or engage the services of landguards, nor is it involved in any unlawful or outlawed activities,” the statement read. “The company operates in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana and remains committed to ethical business practices.”
The waste management giant, known for partnering with reputable foreign firms, expressed concern that such unfounded claims could damage its reputation and undermine its track record of collaborative development.
Reaffirming its stance on peaceful and lawful engagement, the company advised that any disputes should be addressed through the appropriate legal processes rather than media speculation or accusations.
“We urge the general public and our stakeholders to disregard these unfounded allegations and remain assured of our continued commitment to lawful and sustainable development,” the statement concluded.
Zoomlion says it remains steadfast in upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
