On Monday, March 17, 2025, Hon. Adams met with members of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Regional Football Association (RFA) Chairmen at the Ministry in Accra. The meeting served as a formal introduction of the GFA leadership to the new Minister and an opportunity to discuss the future of Ghanaian football.
During the meeting, Hon. Kofi Adams congratulated GFA President Kurt Okraku on his election to the CAF Executive Committee, making him the sixth Ghanaian to attain this milestone. The Minister challenged him to use his position to influence the growth and development of football in Ghana.

“The leadership of the F.A must bring the league back to life,” he emphasized, adding that his Ministry is fully committed to supporting the development of Ghanaian football.
GFA President Edwin Kurt Okraku expressed appreciation for the Minister’s support and assured him of the GFA’s commitment to reviving Ghanaian football.
“The GFA remains the most structured and organized Federation in Ghana. We are determined to bring back the glory days of Ghanaian football,” he stated.
Mr. Okraku also presented a strategic document outlining solutions to the challenges facing Ghanaian football, noting that progress requires a collective effort from all stakeholders.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from both the Ministry and the GFA, including GFA Vice President Mark Addo, General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo, and Executive Council and RFA members such as Nana Oduro Sarfo, Eugene Noel Nobel, Samuel Aboabire, Patrick Akoto, and Neil Armstrong Mortagbe.
