Businesswoman & Philanthropist Uplifts Children of Korle Gonno Central SDA
Renowned businesswoman and philanthropist Daina Adutwumwaa marked her birthday in a special way, celebrating with over 100 adopted children of the Korle Gonno Central SDA Church. For nearly four years, she has been dedicated to supporting these children, providing them with food, clothing, and other essential supplies.
Her generous act highlights the harsh realities many urban children face, despite being in the capital city. Many lack access to education, proper nutrition, and basic necessities, making support from individuals and organizations critical.
"As a businesswoman, I understand the importance of empowerment and support, and as a philanthropist, I believe we are all called to give back," Daina stated. "Every child deserves an opportunity to succeed, and if we all contribute even a little, we can transform lives."
The First Elder of Korle Gonno Central SDA Church, Adams Conney, expressed deep gratitude for Madam Daina Adutwumwaa’s continuous support. On behalf of the Children’s Department and the entire children, he thanked her for her unwavering commitment to their well-being and urged others to emulate her generosity.
"The Bible teaches us in Proverbs 19:17 that whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done. Madam Daina’s kindness is a true reflection of this teaching, and we encourage others to follow her example," Elder Adams Conney said.
Her initiative underscores the vital role churches play in social welfare, encouraging more individuals and businesses to extend a helping hand to the less privileged.
She is calling on kindhearted individuals to donate unused children’s clothes, school supplies, and other essential items to support the children. Those willing to contribute can reach out for collection arrangements.
Let’s join hands to uplift the needy, ensuring that these children grow up with hope, dignity, and the opportunity for a brighter future.
