GWL Assures Sustainable Water Supply for Ho
The Ghana Water Ltd (GWL) has successfully restored water supply to the Ho Municipality following disruptions caused by the breakdown of all three pumps at the Kpeve Water Abstraction Plant.
GWL’s technical teams worked around the clock to resolve the issue within 48 hours, in line with the short-term recovery plan outlined by the Managing Director, Hon. Adam Mutawakilu. To mitigate the impact during the crisis, GWL also provided tanker services to essential service institutions.
As part of a medium-term solution, two new pumps have been procured and are expected to arrive in the country by the end of March. Meanwhile, long-term strategic measures, including the expansion of the Kpeve Water Treatment Plant, are underway to ensure sustainable water provision for Ho and surrounding communities.
GWL commended President John Dramani Mahama for his commitment to ensuring equitable and reliable water access. The company reassured the public of its dedication to improving service delivery and thanked residents for their patience and cooperation.
