Police Arrest Eight for Attacking Metro Mass Workshop


The Ghana Police Service has arrested eight individuals in Sunyani, Bono Region, for unlawfully invading the Metro Mass Transit workshop. The suspects allegedly threatened workers and forced them out of their offices during the attack.


The suspects, identified as Isa Twasic, Abu Do Isaiah, Abdul Latif Mohammed, Mohammed Azanlu, Al Hassan Isa, Amadu Mohammed, Abdullah Adams, and Abdullah Ibrahim, are in custody assisting with investigations.


This arrest adds to the growing list of suspects apprehended for post-election violence, bringing the total to 97. These incidents have been marked by looting, property destruction, and threats to public safety.


ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service, assured the public that the Police and other security agencies remain committed to maintaining peace and security.


Citizens are encouraged to provide information to support the efforts of security agencies in curbing further violence.
