Paramount Chief Urges Likpe to Support NDC

The Paramount Chief of the Likpe Traditional Area, Nana Soglo Alloh IV, has openly endorsed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of Ghana’s general elections. Speaking through the Nifahene of Likpe Bala, Nana Bulla Osie, the chief pledged unwavering support for the NDC and promised to mobilize the traditional area to deliver 99 percent of the votes to the party.

This declaration was made during a community engagement at Likpe-Mate as part of the campaign tour of the Oti Region by Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the NDC’s vice presidential candidate. Nana Soglo Alloh commended the NDC for standing up for the voting rights of the people of Likpe during the 2020 elections, when he claimed they were denied parliamentary representation under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government and the Electoral Commission.

The paramount chief expressed confidence in John Dramani Mahama's ability to bring development to the region, should he win the December 7 elections. He highlighted pressing needs in the Likpe area, including better roads, health facilities, and schools, urging the NDC to prioritize these issues when they assume power.

The NDC, led by its presidential candidate John Mahama, has intensified its campaign efforts in the Oti Region, a key stronghold, ahead of next week’s elections.
