Opoku-Agyemang: NDC Will Share Equitably

The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has assured Ghanaians that the next NDC government will prioritize fairness and equity in distributing national resources.

During a courtesy call on the Overlord of the Waala Traditional Council, Naa Seidu Pelpuo IV, at his palace in Wa on Tuesday, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the NDC's commitment to inclusive development. The visit marked the beginning of her two-day campaign tour of the Upper West Region.

She highlighted the extensive infrastructural development delivered by the NDC during its tenure and pledged to do even more if elected in the December 7, 2024, general elections. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang contrasted the NDC’s track record with that of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing the latter of sidelining regions and constituencies that do not vote for the party.

Quoting admissions from some NPP leaders about neglecting certain areas, she urged voters in these regions to rally behind the NDC presidential candidate, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, to reset the country’s development agenda. She outlined the NDC’s vision to create jobs, enhance education, and empower women financially.

Waa Naa Seidu Pelpuo IV commended Prof. Opoku-Agyemang for her visit and called for peace as the country prepares for the upcoming elections.
