Afaglo Urges NDC to Resist Intimidation
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Marrer Ghana Limited, as well as Susatgad Boat Building and Fishing Industries, Novihoho Afaglo, has made a passionate appeal to all supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to rally together and cast their votes against the current government led by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In his address, Mr. Afaglo underscored the critical importance of unity and courage among party members, asserting that the NDC's success in the upcoming elections is contingent upon their ability to confront and overcome any feelings of fear or intimidation that may arise from the opposition.
He specifically called on NDC supporters to actively engage in the electoral process and lend their unwavering support to former President John Dramani Mahama, who is the party's candidate.
Mr. Afaglo reassured the party's base that they should remain steadfast and not allow themselves to be dissuaded by any tactics that the NPP might employ to intimidate them on Election Day.
He acknowledged the reality that some individuals may harbor apprehensions about participating in the voting process, particularly in light of past experiences of intimidation, such as those that occurred during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.
During that event, there were allegations that the ruling party utilized police and national security personnel to create an atmosphere of fear among voters.
In light of these concerns, Mr. Afaglo's message serves as a clarion call for resilience and determination among NDC supporters.
He emphasized that the power of the electorate lies in their collective action and that by standing together, they can ensure that their voices are heard and their votes count.
He encouraged all party members to remain vigilant and to support one another, fostering a sense of solidarity that will empower them to face any challenges that may arise during the electoral process.
Ultimately, Mr. Afaglo's appeal is a reminder of the importance of civic engagement and the role that each individual plays in shaping the future of their country through the democratic process.
