People’s National Party Chooses Education and Accountability Over Election Dispute

The People's National Party (PNP) officially announced its decision to not pursue legal action following the disqualification of its Presidential Aspirant, Janet Asana Nabla, from the upcoming presidential election by the Electoral Commission.

The party expressed its disagreement with the grounds for her disqualification but, after consultations with members across the country, opted to shift focus towards finalizing its certification as a fully-fledged political party.

According to Sulemana Seidu, General Secretary of the PNP, the party's mission goes beyond participating in elections saying, the PNP is dedicated to educating citizens on political issues, government policies, and their societal impacts, while also holding the government accountable through policy reviews and advocating for transparency.

Despite the setback, the party encouraged its supporters to remain steadfast, promising to announce its plans regarding the December 7, 2024, general election soon.

The PNP’s slogan, "My Family, My Community, My Motherland," underlines its commitment to national progress and community development.
