Mary Anane Awuku Advocates for Psychological Training to Boost Entrepreneurial Skills and Competencies


Mary Anane Awuku, a renowned Serial Entrepreneur and Industrial Psychologist, called for the incorporation of psychological principles into entrepreneurship training during the Ghana Psychological Association’s International Research Conference.


 She highlighted that her research shows the success of entrepreneurs often hinges on psychological competencies such as decision-making, emotional intelligence, and resilience.


Anane Awuku pointed out that while entrepreneurship plays a vital role in reducing poverty and enhancing economic development, the key to ensuring success lies in understanding and applying psychology. 


She urged institutions and policymakers to integrate psychological training into educational curriculums to nurture a generation of entrepreneurs equipped with the mental tools to overcome challenges and thrive in the competitive market.
