Greater Accra NDC Extends Gratitude to Hon. Dr. Valarie Sawyerr for Her Remarkable Contributions

*GREATER ACCRA NDC APPRECIATES HON. DR. VALERIE SAWYERR*


The Greater Accra Regional Communication Bureau of the NDC wishes to extend its felicitation and appreciation to Hon. Dr. Valarie Sawyerr for all the tremendous support she has been giving to the party in the region.


The Regional Communication Department acknowledges all the interventions she has been making, but the most recent donations that caught the attention, and melted the hearts of many NDC members were the donations of the following;


1. Brand New Pick Up Vehicles to Thirty  -Three  (33) Parliamentary Candidates in the Region.


2. One  (1) Brand New Pickup Vehicle  to the Organization Department of the Region.


3. One (1) Brand New Pickup Vehicle to the Regional Youth Wing


4. Two (2) Brand New Coastal Buses to the Regional Women's Wing


5. A total of 221 motorbikes to Parliamentary Candidates, all the 34 Constituencies  and some selected Individuals in the Region.


6. 31 motorbikes to some selected Regional Executives for their Departments




7. Additionally 10 Brand New pickup Vehicles to Ashanti Region and 4 motorbikes to Ayensuano constituency in the Eastern Region.


8.  Financial support to the Regional Executives for their activities during the limited voter registration exercise and other campaign activities.


 9. Frequent Financial Support to almost all the Parliamentary Candidates within the Region for their campaign activities.


This exceptional gesture by Dr. Valerie Sawyerr is a political milestone worthy of emulation by all party members. It is remarkable to have a single person make this heavy investment into the party just to ensure victory in the 7th December, 2024 election.


On this note, the Regional Communication Bureau of the NDC once again wishes to say, thank you very much to Hon. Dr. Valerie Sawyerr for holding the party together in the region. May all your efforts be rewarded with a resounding victory for the NDC on December 7th 2024. Thank you!

The Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council has strongly condemned the recent induction of Prince Asharku-Bruce Quaye, also known as Oblempong Wetse Kojo II, as the Ngleshie Alata Mantse. Royal Jamong Family Raises Alarm Over Alleged Political Interference in Bunkpurugu Chieftaincy Dispute

The Royal Jamong Family of Bunkpurugu has expressed deep concern over what it describes as political interference by Vice President Dr. Mahamud Bawumia and the NPP parliamentary candidate for Bunkpurugu, Mr. Solomon N. Boar, in the ongoing chieftaincy dispute surrounding the Bunkpurugu skin. In a strongly-worded statement, the family accused the two politicians of exerting undue pressure on the National House of Chiefs, a move that they believe undermines the integrity of the chieftaincy institution. The family pointed to recent comments made by Abuba, who claimed that his uncle, Vice President Bawumia, had promised to ensure that a pending judgment in the chieftaincy case would be delayed indefinitely. Electrochem’s Ada Salt Deal in Jeopardy

The 15-year mining lease agreements for Electrochem Ghana Limited, a private salt mining company to mine salt on the Ada Songhor Lagoon appears to be in jeopardy with the withdrawal of consent to the agreement by the allodia owners of the lagoon.  The latest blow to Electrochem which is owned by Daniel McKorley, Chief Executive Officer of the McDan Group of Companies is the withdrawal of consent by Nene Korley IV who is the Divisional Chief and Clan-head of the Tekperbiawe Clan of the Ada Traditional Area.  In a letter written to Mr. McKorley through his lawyers A-F Amissah & Wood Solicitors and Barristers Consultants dated 11th February 2025 and titled, “Letter of Withdrawal of Consent to Electrochem’s Dealing With the Songor Lagoon”, Nene Korley IV cited thuggery, insecurity in Ada, violation of rights of the indigenes and locals among others as the reasons for his withdrawal of consent to the company’s dealings with the Songor lagoon.
